My dream of becoming a professional footballer for Arsenal shattered when I turned 24 yesterday. Maybe it was just meant to be a dream. A dream that only can be accomplished by editing myself and playing in Fifa 2010 or PES 2010.

I was having this dream since I was young. But to be honest, kids like us that had been brought up and raised in Malaysia, the chance of playing in Europe is totally slim.

Well, because of that, to be able to find a better living for generations after we have to study hard. Push yourself so hard until you stress yourself like hell to get a good degree.

And now, leaving aside football, I am studying for my upcoming finals. Wish me luck.

I threw Hong Zhong out but it kept coming back, I tried to wait for Fatt but I wait till my neck long also havent come out.

I tried to build "Ching Yi Se" but other blocks kept coming out, I tried to play "Peng" but opportunities of "Qi" kept coming out.

I almost win the round sometimes but someone else accidentally played the block that let the other player won.

But out from nowhere, in the worst condition, with time, it changes my blocks nicer. And sometimes you seized the chance by "ji mo".

Sometimes, you xiao xiang gong because you lost concentration.

Just expect the unexpected because I still remember I won by "十三幺" out from no where, Jack let me win. HAHAHAHA!

Those people whom I met that were showing bad behaviour will never ever be my friend. Some signs of bad behviours are for example like back stabbing and it is really annoying, never back stab people especially if you are a guy. And I believe girls don't like guys that back stab. Redbull Air Race Nov 1 & 2

I was working as an event staff in this year's final Red Bull Air Race. It was quite an experience. Although it was bloody tiring but it was really fun. My task for the first day was easy, greeting and interacting with the public and providing them information on site. The following day was a bit tiring, being a water boy by covering the whole site providing all the staffs with water and sunblocks.

Operation Christmas Child

今天一大清早就出门了！本人参与了Samaritan’s Purse 的一项慈善活动, Operation Christmas Child。基本上就是帮他们packing礼物。这些礼物将会在每个圣诞节期间送给那些住在贫穷国家的小孩。今年应该是Solomon Island吧。这活动非常有意义的。虽然不能看见那他们把我所包的礼物打开时那些兴高采烈的样子, 不过我能感受得到。

礼物毕竟是小孩的最爱。今天看到了这么多的玩具，很自然的就会想起我的童年。我最记得是当年我妈从美国迪斯尼乐园买给我的米奇set当生日礼物，让我兴奋了整个月。

我个人觉得收到礼物时最爽的时刻就是开礼物。因为我喜欢惊喜! 有谁不喜欢呢?

我终于都完成了所有的 assignments...真的很高兴。

我的 degree 也只剩下一个小小的 presentation 和 exam 罢了！

我最后的 assignment 是 individual 的。之前那个是 group 的。

我的 group 里有一个日本人。我很欣赏他。他们日本人做事精神真好。很有责任感。虽然英语不是很好, 不过他很想帮忙, 很求进步。

I didn't gave him a lot to do because I understand it was hard for him to type that many words. But he was unease, he wants to help more. A bit of this, a bit of that, he wants to help. When I was finalizing everything from the essay, he was there to help all night long whilst another group mate which is from China stayed at home and sleep.

This Chinese group mate doesn't want his part to be check. He might felt his works were brilliant I don't know, but luckily I checked because his part was filled with bullshits and grammatical mistakes. Surprisingly, in some parts I don't even know what the F*** was he writing about. Pathetic!

Whereas this Japanese guy, he wants his work to be checked. He wants me to tell him which part he did wrong. He wants quality work and doesn't scared of being corrected. And believe it or not, he had done very well in his part. Besides of some grammatical mistakes, he came up with strong stand points and no bullshits. Japanese....phew~!

Frankly speaking I don't believe in the diversity of religions. I agreed with Yun Sin that "religious divides humanity". Debatable? But i still stands firm on my point of view. Per say, they are all the same. I believe in god though.

Yes, I believe in his thoughts, his morality. I truly believe that god will guide us into becoming a good and well mannered person.

The pastor thought us about how dangerous a person could be when failing to overcome his own barriers and something that they think they won't achieve. The psychological "jail" of oneself. The prison of his own making.

It is where you can either become a victim or a survivor on how you response to these difficulties. The captivity of negativity! It is god be there to guide...

In Australia, when you entered the work force. You get something called superannuation fund a.k.a super. It's somewhat the same as EPF back in Malaysia. The only difference is that you can self manage your portfolios here.

The recent market recessions from the world economy really hurts people's superannuation funds.

I felt pity for a client today. His portfolio had dropped from a staggering $500k to $360k.

Aussie dollar had slump further today and it's around 1 to 2.3 on Malaysian ringgit. Good news for parents who are sending their sons and daughters here.

“Oh noooo…I don’t wanna get back to reality…” one of the girls said when we were heading back home from Kununoppin.

It’s been a decent trip up to the northeast of Perth. 3 days of volunteering work ends up with joy and memories. It’s quite an experience too going somewhere that far and enjoying the life away from the city. We were welcomed and treated so well by the local staffs at Kununoppin Hospital. The hospitality and the foods were brilliant.

Basically we did the cleanings and constructions. Cleaning up the hospital surroundings and building up a shed and a store room.

“Always try to give. You are giving now, well you might not receive it today, you might receive tomorrow, or even few years later, or your children will, might be your parents, and might be your love ones. You will never know”, said Mki a.k.a Bob, a big strong South African man.

We were not just doing volunteering work anyway. We’ve actually went to the Nungarin festive which held every year at Nungarin. And then we went to the market the day after.

Many of us bought a lot at the market but not Bob. Bob didn’t buy any and I asked him why. His answer was simple. “I don’t buy because I am there; I buy when I really need it.”

I think I NEED to take his words seriously because I was really a big spender every time I went out for shopping. And so let me make that a history by changing my bad habit...

Internship

The very first day of my internship had started today at Subiaco. Experiencing the life that I could be doing in routine for the successive years to come. The boss is a decent man and hopefully I will learn something from him.

I went to the Postgrad Information Evening yesterday. It kind of give me a clue on which course I will be taking in the masters degree next semester. But i kept my options open.

1. Master of Accounting. 9 subjects only. One and a half years. 3 subjects per semester. Great choice.

2. Master of Financial planning. 12 subjects. 2 years. Starts from sem 2, 2009. Good bet and challenging as well.

3. Master of Actuarial Science. 16 subjects. 2 years. An average of 73 must be achieved preferably to qualify into the institute of Actuarial Science. Excellent future but tremendously tough. Good chance to become a nerd.

4. Some graduate studies of banking and finance. This is the last resort. I probably won't choose this.

Anyway, tomorrow i will be off to Kunninopin for 3 days. Some 4 hour drive northwest from Perth. Participating in some volunteering work for the John Curtin week. Hopefully it will be fun.

Mystery shopping

I've done a mystery shopping task today. And its fun.

Mystery shopping is a kind of a work assessment on employees of how they are doing their work by monitoring the processes and procedures in the delivery of a service by whom mystery shoppers accessed. The pay depends on the work task performed. All i have to do is to act as a normal customer and asking questions accordingly from the details provided.

It took me 12mins to complete my inquiries with the consultant and earn some money. Cool. And then i went for a quick shopping.

I saw things that i like. I saw cloths that i like. I saw computers that i like. I saw cars that i like. And i even saw houses that i like.

I remember when i was a kid, once i saw something that i liked displaying out there in the shop, i will tell my parents and ask for it. If mom and dad rejects. I will cry for it until they buy them for me. Unfortunately those days were over.

When i liked to have something now, i will keep it to myself. But on the other hand, trying my best to work it out and get it myself. I will not ask from my parents anymore. And trust me it feels much much better and bringing more satisfaction when you got something you liked from what you work hard for.

Anything you can't get it now might be one of your dreams. These dreams might be achievable in 5 to 10 years. Who knows? And these dreams give you extra motivation. The strive for success.

白木耳

我记得有一天晚上，当时的我很疲倦，房间里又很热!Michelle突然敲我的门对我说冰箱里有白木耳，叫我拿来喝。她说“不要expect很好喝。。。”
当时的我那里管这么多？？哈哈。。。不过，喝了以后就从此喜欢上她煲的白木耳了。
昨天，下唐人街买了材料，今天赏识煲。放了材料后，开了小火就出门了。结果煲过火了。第一次。。。失败。不过还是可以喝。
我怀念Michelle煲的白木耳。很好喝。

人生活上多多少少总是会有一点点压力的。如果说没有，那是假的。

我。。。恐怕真的要跟时间赛跑斗快了！！！想到我还有两个assignments等着我去完成，我哪里还有心情在这study free week 到处游玩呢？有了压力，我拖拖拉拉的习惯是否还存在？

Dah lama aku tak bertaip dalam bahasa melayu. Sekarang aku merasai betapa sukarnya untuk aku memblog dalam bahasa ini. Walau bagaimanapun, saya mengucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri kepada semua rakyat Malaysia yang beragama Islam pada oktober 1.

Selepas datang ke Perth, peluang aku bercakap dalam bahasa melayu dah berkurang. Tapi pada setiap hari sabtu, saya akan bermain bola sepak dengan pasukan aku, 1Borneo. Di sini, pasukan aku bukan macam yang dulu, kami bukan bertanding dalam liga universiti. Kami mengadakan perlawanan persahabatan dengan pasukan pasukan lain. Selain daripada saya dan Alex, semua pemain di pasukan kami adalah orang melayu dan disitulah aku mengambil kesempatan untuk berkomunikasi dalam bahasa melayu disamping mengeratkan hubungan dengan mereka...

今天，又回到餐馆打工。我的工作，就像Ryan说的，很简单，让每个人吃饭的时候都开开心心。不过我们的老板责任不但只是要让每个人吃饭的时候都开开心心，也要让员工做得开心，有很多东西都要去用力思考。不是习以为常就行了。在日常生活中，当我们经常去做一样东西或对一些所见到的现象经常看到，我们会认为它们理应如此，但是为什么会这样，就没有过多去想。

老板今天陪我们吃饭，对我说了很多满有深度的话。虽然没完全吸收得了，不过有一些话我会牢牢的记住。他说我们凡是做任何事情都要有责任感。不管做什么事，都保持良好的态度，be ethical,用心去做好它。在做事当时也要经常去想怎样能做得更好。在他这行，自己做好自己的，不要说别人做的不好吃。因为毕竟每个人的口味都不同吗！

【溏心风暴之家好月圆 17】

Went to Emma's restaurant at Vic Park with my cousin and his friend for dim sum today morning. He said having dim sum during weekdays is better because you don't need to wait. Their dim sum is not bad either comparing to the one at the city, Gam Tong, and it's worth a try. Haven't been to Luk Fuk yet but i will try that weeks later because having dim sum once in a while is better than having it week in week out. Went straight back home after that because it's raining, nowhere to go.

Anyway, go back to the title, 溏心风暴之家好月圆 Episode 17.

Watched till half way of this series, episode 17 is one of the best, if not the best. The best part in that episode begins when Jo鲍 was in 阿恭's car and 阿恭 was trying to prevent Jo鲍 from going back to 荷妈's place under the order of 阿红.

The play goes on until Jo鲍 met 阿庆 and later on he said something that almost reflects the whole story of the series. It's really touching. Then there are conflicts between the siblings later on and 荷妈 came out with a strong statement. More interesting play at the ending of the episode too.

在这个戏剧里面,我最喜欢荷妈. 我相信大部分的人都一样. 她的character真的很perfect. 开开心心的.做人real.真.脚踏实地.懂得忍让.理智. 如果我是Jo鲍,能回到荷妈身边后我一定会很珍惜像荷妈这样好的老婆.

这世界真的太多虚假的人了.如果世界多了像荷妈这样的人就好.

JAY CHOU 魔杰座

周杰伦的新专辑，好期待一下。他用了他自己的星座为专辑名称。他是魔杰座，capricorn。主打歌 - 稻香。听了还满不错的。他的歌很少会让人失望。我很欣赏他的才华。加油！
好多女性很相信星座，也都常阅读星座书，甚至于利用星座来做对比。不过身为男性的我对于星座的推论和看法还是一般而已。
我是天蝎座，我好多朋友都是天蝎座的。尤其是男的。从个性来看，每一个“我们”都不一样。不过从我所知道的典型天蝎座，没有人能和我一个朋友比了。
天蝎座的他敢爱敢恨，有神秘感，活泼，很感情用事。对。。。跟他相处过后我才发觉我与天蝎座男孩有一段距离。
星座到底有根据吗？我不知道。不过我个人认为这些性格是从小培养的，遇到不同的朋友，在什么环境之下长大等。这些都有影响的。
所谓近朱者赤近墨者黑。

Just finished my dinner

本来今天不想blog，不过想到昨天的一件事真的是太好笑了。我竟然跟一个外国人撞衣！当时的情形又尴尬又好笑。地点，大学巴士站。是他先发觉到的，然后我看到他慢慢的转过身背向我，就好像当没事没看见我那样。旁边的人当然会笑咯，没办法...不过我还是装酷慢慢地走过他们。离开后才偷笑。

我改次不要在这里买衣服了。这里卖的衣又贵又不美, 反而又会跟人撞衣。

不过, 如果仔细的想想, 撞衣也是一种缘分...一, 我那件衣不多. 二,我不是每天都穿. 三,大学那么大. 四,这么多人,偏偏的就跟他撞. 五, 时间. 对吧?? 所以我当时是不是应该像他问好?? 哈哈!! 那如果把缘分放在感情上呢? 是不是更加要珍惜? :)

BRAND NEW BLOG 长江后浪推前浪

我又开了一个新的BLOG, 这样才有新鲜感。长江后浪推前浪。

这个BLOG简简单单的。最主要是内涵。真实，REAL AND ORIGINAL. No preservatives and coloring added.

每个星期一是我唯一去上课的一天。虽然只是一个礼拜一次，但我非常珍惜。没缺过课。这世界是不是这样？越少就会越珍惜，多的时候，却没有去珍惜？还是这世界本来就是这样？？

这一天上两课，第一堂是早上的。第二堂下午。

今天的 strategic management topic 挺有趣的。是 international strategy。里面有一个问题， "why might international diversification lead to innovation?"

International Diversification -> Innovation -> Returns

答案很简单， when a firm from country A is expanding to country B, they might be experiencing culture shocks or different perspective on customers' needs. In order to prevent that, they innovates, they come out with new products that satisfies customers. If succeed, they might get high returns. 这问题很简单，但能relate到我的生活上。我爸把他的product, 我, diversify到 perth，在这里，遇到不同的风风雨雨，我将会变成一更好的我。我毕业后，爸就能得到returns 啦...

为什么 innovation??

Innovation 在人生中算是“上进心”吧！我个人觉得做人有上进心是很重要的。如果你没有上进心，你将会很快就被人类淘汰。因为现在有才华又聪明的人实在是太多了。你一停下来就有人会跨过你。我怕输，我不要输。哈哈。。。所以我经常都会赏识去进步自己。过几年后，工作将会变得越来越specialized, 但人类会变得越来越diversified，什么都会的。不管在人际关系，学业，才华，运动等都顶呱呱。恐怖咧...

要当将军：培养上进心。拿破仑有句名言：不想当将军的士兵不是好士兵。

不要放弃, 不要自卑, 不要怕慢, 一步一步来, 别急, 得到的成果会更好!!!
